At Neurodiversity Aware Counselling, we believe that understanding and embracing neurodiversity is the key to personal growth and meaningful connections. Our team of neurodivergent counsellors bring a wealth of shared lived experiences, creating a warm and supportive environment. We're here to offer empathy and support, helping you navigate your unique journey with understanding and care.

Inspired by a personal journey, beginning with his son’s learning challenges over 20 years, Dan created Neurodiversity Aware Therapy.
Dan is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and the visionary behind Neurodiversity Aware Therapy™.
With extensive experience in alternative supports and a Master’s degree focused on neurodiversity, Dan is currently doing a doctorate with research into neurodiversity and autism at Royal Roads University.
About Our Founder
Dan's research is recognized as vital to better outcomes for neurodivergent people and is funded by the government of Canada, Royal Roads University, and the Mitacs Accelerate Program. Dan's research has won numerous doctoral awards including most potential for impact, communicating research ideas, and best articulated research problem.
